Mistakes our Greatest Teacher

Last few days, Ms. Noveras showed a list of sentences that have mistakes. I realized that even though we're already in our third year in high school, there are still mistakes in grammar most especially in the basic tenses. Grammar lessons for me is the most important lesson in English because of that maybe there will be no good poems stories. In grammar lessons, it makes my head blow off! :)) Ms. Noveras was right on what she told us that while she is teaching the lesson it seems that it is so easy, but when our examination started the lessons that seems easy to me changes. I have a hard time in writing some essays, poems, or stories because I'm not sure if it is right or wrong. Most of the time, I will consult first Hydie if my grammar is right or wrong but of course she is not always there to correct my grammar. So at home, I read grammar books to learn. Honestly, I'm also staring reading my Elementary English books to remember the basic grammar lessons. But the main reason of why I'm still having a hard time in writing is that I'm not used to read books. For me reading is boring. But I like the books that is full of sense of humor, for example the books of Bob Ong. So I'm trying to read good books to improve my writing.

True Spirits

Last February 14-18 the Tumcsians show their talents not only in Academics but also in sports and dancing. Everyone seems so excited, we can see it during the preparations. Most of them took so much time in pracrticing for the field demo and also in "intrams". We'll see the different creative designs of jersey. Of course the most beautiful and creatively made jersey is the jersey of the 3-Leah.
But are we familiar to the word intramural? It offers a wide variety of individual, team. meet sports. In TUMCS volleyball, badminton and the most popular sport is Basketball. Leah boys are so competitive. Everybody wants to be the champion, nobody does. So they really give time practice. For cheering everybody were required to join but it is not required to dance. As I have notice to my dear section we are so competitive in every competition. As our practice ended the competition started. To end this, we won! We bring home the bacon. :))))))

Lets go for the sports let start on the competition I joined, Badminton. At the first game I won. In the end, I lose. That game for me is fair, because they deserve to win. The winners were really good because I lack training. The next game is the volleyball, this sport is quite hard for me.
The Juniors won in this game. It depends to the referee if he will be fair enough. But for me this game is fair. Rachel really deserves to win. Now for the main sport, Basketball boys and girls.

For the basketball boys, many of the audience and also to the players get mad. They get mad to the referee, to their opponent. Most of them accused the referee because of wrong fouls accused by the referee but in the end the deserving team won. For the girls, as we all know girls are more sensitive than boys. So some of them cried because of some players that are so aggressive to get the ball. So the losing team wanted a rematch, but I know that the Somphomers deserved it. Over all we should let God to be the coach of our game. He will direct every player to the right way. If we let our emotions destroy the game of course we'll lose. As the verse says we should do our best in everything that we will do for the glory of God not for the prizes we can have.

This Is Me

As far as I know discrimination is treating someone in a less favorable manner on the basis of his physical appearance and characteristics. I remembered ones that I have been discriminated also by others because of my color. Either girl or boy is more attracted with ones fair complexion. So there are times that they will insult me because of my dark complexion. Then I will also insult him more than on what he had say to me. I will insult him from head to toe. My goal is to make him cry, and to let him feel what I feel. But not just saying bad things about his appearance I will also hit the part of his body that will really hurt him. I will not stop until he will not say the magic word. SORRY. Sometimes, I was ashamed to deal with the white ones. Just like on what I experienced before I step in high school life. Principal Esther saw my father and I on the AVR (old AVR), then told me that "Pity for you to inherit the color of your father".  So I ask my mom to buy PAPAYA SOAP. :)))  But time goes by, I realized that nowadays this kind of complexion are more attractive than the white one. That I should not be ashamed on what God gave me. This who I am. At first I just cry, but now I stand with great pride. But honestly I still  use soaps that can lighten my skin. :)) I'm proud to be a Filipino this what a real Filipino. If there's a chance in my life that I can change the color of my skin I will just stick on what I have right now. I will be so glad that a lot of people will love me for who I am without asking me to change to be pleasing with the eyes of others. I will just let God rule them who discriminates it just makes me stronger. Again, I am not ashamed of who I am because THIS IS ME. :)

Bloody Mary

In Mara's third grade, she was feeling matured than her past years. The most popular word in that grade is the "BLOODY MARY". Mara was born on a Christian family so she knows that it wasn't real. Almost everyday, she will always hear BLOODY MARY. Then one day Mara asked her friend. Who is Bloody Mary? Bloody Mary is a very creepy woman with blood on her face. She appears on the mirrors, but she only appears if her name was called for THIRTEEN TIMES. Like this Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary. . .

Mara's classmates told her that it was real! So she decided to try it. She tried it on their washroom at school. Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary. . . Until she reach to twelve, then the last Bloody Mary. WAAH! No Bloody Mary. So Mara had an idea. :))
At their classroom, Mara was surrounded of a lot of students. They were all listening to what Mara is saying. Because. . .

she told her classmates that she did see Bloody Mary.

Sprite: Freedom from Thirst

A hot day in school, Mara was in her second grade. In Science class, they were too busy in copying some lectures on the board while their teaching was sitting reading.

Then Mara was called by her teacher. She was asked to buy her teacher a soda drink and it should be Sprite. Mara went at the canteen to buy a soda drink. It was a very hot day then, she was only looking at the bottle while walking. Mara felt so thirsty in seeing  the bottle. So she decided to drink a bit.

She arrived at their room and gave the bottle to her teacher, the teacher was looking at the straw and asked if she drink in her soda drink. Did Mara say the truth?

"Teacher, I didn't drink."

My First Crush

As we all know, February is all about love. Traditionally, we celebrate the Heart's Day by making some love with someone especially to our opposite sex. Mara already recovered to the past experience to the manhole thing. Mara has a serious Crush to Sam. Mara was so excited to their celebration of the Heart's Day because she can predict what will happen.

This is it! Everyone wear crowns, blue crowns for the boys and pink crowns for the girls. First, the teacher will call one student then he will tell her crush in front of the class. A pair of a girl and boy who will get the most number of crushes will be the Mr and Ms. Hearts Day.

Mara was smiling and his eyes was always focused to Sam. She was shock because there are also some boys who had a secret feelings for her. Then one time, Sam called Mara, then says something. Mara smiled. Its Elna's turn he revealed that his crush was Sam. Mara get jealous, but there's a smile on her face. Sam was called. He revealed that her crush was Mara! Then its Mara's turn, of course Mara revealed her crush, Sam. Even though Mara was not the Ms. Heart's Day, she was more happy because of what Sam said and her predictions were right.

(Sam told  Mara to pick him, and Mara should pick Sam)  :"">

Mara

In the night of silence a girl named Mara went at the school with her mother. After wards, they had decided to went home. That night, every house that they will encounter has its own decoration and its own Christmas light. Mara enjoyed looking each house they will pass on. Suddenly, her mother called her attention to walk beside her mother but Mara tends to move closer to the house then proceeds to the next house.

They were getting closer to the waiting shed, so the mother called again the attention of Mara because its too dark on the street and they had already passed on the houses and the only thing that gives them light is the moon.  But still Mara didn't obey. While walking, the mother noticed that her daughter is missing. Where's Mara?

Mara fell on the man hole.

Mom was worried because her daughter might die because she was only 6 years old and didn't know how to swim. So she pull her daughter with full force. Then Mara started to cry she was full of dirt and also full guilt. At the jeep, the passengers inside were covering their nose so Mara hid to her mother's shirt.

The first thing that Mara did is to take a bath of course. Then she hug her mother let her mother know how good her smell is. Then she whispered something that makes her mother smile. "I'M SORRY" says Mara.
