Overview to Achilles.

In "Illiad" Book 22, Achilles is a Greek warrior in Trojan War. He is renowned as the demi-god character who is beautiful and brave. He is a strong warrior. It seems that He's afraid of anything, that he can do anything. He can kill anyone or anything, he's a brutal warrior. It shows in Book 22 how brutal Achilles is.

Achilles finished.  Then on noble Hector's corpse
he carried out a monstrous act.  He pierced
the tendons behind both feet, from heel to ankle,
threaded them with ox-hide thongs, and then tied these
onto his chariot, leaving the head to drag behind.
He climbed up in his chariot, brought on the splendid armour,
then lashed his horses.  They sped off eagerly,                                        500         [400]
dragging Hector.  A dust cloud rose above him,
his dark hair spread out round him, and Hector's head,
once so handsome, was covered by the dust, for Zeus
had given him to his enemies to dishonour
in his own native land.  So all his head grew dirty.

In this picture, this shows that Achilles is dragging Hector. In his mind that he can easily beat Hector beacause Athena is with him. Athena is the goddess if wisdom, warfare, civilization, strength, strategy, skill. But Achilles did that because of his anger also to Hector. Hector killed Achilles's best friend, Patroclus. I know the feeling to lose someone special. He really did everything to win the battle.

In the story, even it he's a brutal warrior it shows that he truly love his best friend that he will do everything to fight for it!
