Trinidad Tecson

As a Filipina, there are so many things that we can also contribute. As a student, I can start doing something new and good to them. But I know someone who contributed something good. I can A woman who joined in the Katipunan, but at that time women were not required to do so. I read something about her that she was almost captured while delivering food to the soldiers but she managed to escape by playing dead. She also took part in a battle. During some battle, she was hit on her right thigh. She also bring the wounded and sick soldiers crossing the mountains, Sta. Ana to Iba. She was so brave to help the Filipinos even there are times that she was also wounded and weak.I also read that she sell some fishes to Manila At their province, it is not popular to women to study how to read and right but Trnididad learned to do those things that were commonly studied by men at those times. She's the one who give full attention to the soldiers who are sick and wounded. She burned intentionally the corpse of the soldiers so that the other soldiers will not have some disease. When Red Cross was established under the Americans Trinidad was called "Inang" who inagurated Red Cross to Philippines. Maybe without her, Red Cross will not be established in the Philippines. Red Cross is very important for everybody this  will help us to stay alive.
